In this street you can find workshops where people make wood carvings, knives, art, and other traditional pieces, souvenir shops.

Tsarevets fortress
The first place you should visit in Veliko Tarnovo is the Tsarevets fortress.Tsarevets Fortress was like this before . There is not much architecture left shows Bulgaria past glory in the Middle Ages, and this is Tsarevets – the stronghold of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom (12th – 14th century).During the Ottoman rule times, Bulgarians were chased away from Tsarevets and Turks occupied the area within the fortification walls. Mosques were built and the hill became a Turkish neighbourhood. Gradually, the city of Tarnovo started looking more like the way it looks today.
The ticket office is located near the main entrance to the fortress.
Entrance costs 6 lev per person and there are plenty of different trails to take to the top.
There is a long and different ways to go to top and the road made up from cobblestone pavement i was wearing high heels but they are kinda comfortable for me but you can take your sneakers and water with you .
There are no place sell water inside of the fortress so you should take this kind of stuff with you.
We were so lucky about weather, we are in February but weather was like summer everyone was wearing tshirt we tie our coat to our waist or bags.
The Patriarchal Church “Ascension of Christ”Nowadays the temple is with a museum statute and is not using as a church. The walls are not painted according to the canon. Modernist murals in the Church of the Ascension. Inside the church you can see this gift machine it works with 2 leva. You have three option for your medallion face after you choose one, put 2 leva inside the place and turn the handle as much as you can . Then you gift is ready ! I dont know why I love this touristical stuff it is kinda felts you like you have a connection with that place because you are preparing your own present . This idea is very touristical ! Ivo put it for me and tell me the turn the handle and I love it. When you go out from the church you can see two telescope for check the view closely we already saw it generally so we did not do it.You can see upon the building which year they made it and they will survive .In turkish and bulgarian they have one common word to i have found out it is “dükkan”. In the road of Samovodska charshya you can see two places which works to watch to scenery when you watch it you can eat something bar tables in border on the fences.
